New bathroom on the second floor in Utrecht
In a home in Utrecht we built a complete bathroom on the second floor, in a room that was not a bathroom before. From the first wall to handover the work took 5 days.

The situation
The house has a ground floor and two upper floors. On the top floor, next to the bedroom, there was an empty room without a fixed purpose. A complete bathroom had to be built there.
What we did
- Built a new wall with metal studs and insulation, including a concealed cistern for the wall-hung toilet.
- Installed water pipes and drains to the new bathroom.
- Applied a waterproof layer on the floor, with a shower drain for the walk-in shower.
- Tiled walls and floor, with two niches in the shower wall.
- Fitted a walk-in shower with glass screen, rain shower and thermostatic mixer.
- Installed the wall-hung toilet and a vanity unit with basin and tap.
